Excellent post, Justin. It was a good idea to share some of the statistics surrounding our membership, volunteers, events and social media presence. I wish I had thought of doing that when I was chapter president!

The statistics, along with our experience, shows that IABC/Chicago is a strong group of professionals who work very hard to enhance communications at work and within our circles of influence.

We also are a friendly group open to welcoming others.

Regarding the coming year, I see a continued interest in adapting technology to our work, an increase in effective use of social media personally and professionally, and an increased desire for more face-to-face communications, as we look for more “real” relationships.

My stretch goal is for the Bears and Cubs to reach their respective championship games. This is not a SMART goal, because I don’t think it’s Achievable this year. But I can dream!

The agency winners listed themselves and the clients whose work they submitted. In every category, LC Williams just listed itself. Was this spec work? Work done by the agency for itself?

Hello,
Can you share with me who is responsible for and when these projects get specified? Who are all the 25 agencies and where is the art work? I can clearly see that Folio Inc. did the work at Midway, but the others aren’t as clear. This kind of work is something we really enjoy and we would like to have more opportunity to work on projects like this.
