Volunteering
Awards & Judging
The Awards & Judging Committee of IABC/Chicago plans and implements our annual awards event. From event marketing and PR to event planning for the awards night and coordinating judging, committee members have an opportunity to get involved in many different aspects of the local Bronze Quill Award program.
Judging opportunities are also available throughout the year to lend your experience to other IABC chapters across the country that need senior communicators and accredited members to review their members’
Educational Relations
Help educate, guide and inspire college students entering the communications field by providing professional support and development. Volunteers work with the current and new student chapters, as well as other local colleges and university who have students interested in entering the field of communications and need mentors or advice.
Membership Communications & Marketing
Support and promote the chapter through communications and marketing such as the web site, social media channels and e-mail updates. Work remotely from wherever you are in the Chicago area and support the chapter on an ongoing basis or as your schedule allows.
Member Services
We are always looking for those who are excited about the IABC network to welcome new members. Consider making welcome calls, helping plan special member events and gathering feedback from members on the value of their membership.
Professional Development
Put your speaker suggestions to work by volunteering with Professional Development to help the chapter identify, secure and plan engaging luncheons and other programs which are tailored to our members’ needs while addressing the latest trends in the field. Volunteers are needed to help with planning programs and special events and coordinating with speakers on their presentations.
