SUMMARY:Slaying the Silos: Integrating Marketing and Change Management into All Aspects of Communication
DESCRIPTION:Join us for IABC Chicago’s next professional development luncheon on Tuesday\, June 18\, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Osteria Via Stato in River North\, 620 N. State St.\, Chicago. \nMany of us commonly support one communications function or another in our role as professional communicators. Not often are we asked to cross-pollinate our efforts to not only help an organization roll out new initiatives but also help the organization navigate the change management process. In this workshop\, we’ll look at how the disciplines of marketing and change management can help us slay the typical silos we encounter in our day-to-day work. \nEd Duffy is the Assistant Director of Design and Communications Strategy at NIIT\, a global learning consulting firm. In this role\, Ed enjoys helping clients solve strategic communications problems related to employee performance\, engagement\, and compliance. Over his career he has helped organizations like McDonalds\, Mazda\, and Microsoft improve individual and organization performance in a wide array of disciplines\, from software to sales\, and safety. Some of his favorite projects have been\, creating a board game to teach Procter and Gamble sales reps about how to build better relationships in a doctor’s office\, helping Samsung roll out its new lineup of Galaxy smartphones nationally\, and developing a curriculum to educate Alzheimer’s caregivers about the vital elements of end-of-life\, palliative care. \nBring a guest and register today! \nCOST TO ATTEND: \n\nIABC Member: $35\nNon-member: $50\nStudent: $15\n\nRegistration fee covers event attendance and a three-course lunch.
