The IABC Pacific Plains Region announces it has awarded the 2011 Silver Quill Award to 61 business communications professionals, with 39 receiving Awards of Excellence, the highest award earned for communication excellence, and 22 earning Awards of Merit.
“We are proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of our region’s very best communications ‘rock stars’,” said Ann Krzmarzick, ABC*, Silver Quill Awards Chair. “This year’s Silver Quill Award recipients stood out among their peers by proving that their communication programs effectively furthered the goals of their organizations — boosting revenue, saving money, rallying employees or otherwise contributing to a successful outcome.”
Evaluation of the 2011 Silver Quill Award entries was completed by an expert panel of experienced judges from IABC Houston, many of whom are Accredited Business Communicators (ABCs*) or IABC members who had previously earned IABC Quill awards. The judging process sets a very high standard for entrants by using guidelines from the IABC Gold Quill Awards, an international recognition program for communicators.
