IABC/Chicago has sponsored the inaugural Pro Quo webinar, which coincidentally is on the topic of webinars.
“Why Webinars Belong in Your Communications Toolkit” features Colleen Fleming, a professional communicator whose experience has focused on education, technology and communication. She recently left INXPO, a software company that specializes in webcasting and virtual events after serving four years as a trainer, instructional designer and technical writer.
Pro Quo is a collaboration between communication professionals and students, focused on communication career choices and options. It is headed by Tom Keefe, ABC, and Jacob Runkel, a sophomore at Loyola University and member of the Loyola IABC Student Chapter. Tom and Jacob met through the IABC/Chicago Mentoring Program developed by Chicago Chapter members Susan Heitsch and Peg Wander.
Upcoming Pro Quo webinar topics will include mind-mapping, digital story-telling and a look at internships. Tom and Jacob are putting the final touches on a WordPress site for Pro Quo, and hope to make it available in early March.
