Since I joined IABC in June last year, my membership has yielded a bounty of rewards. The best–volunteering as the PR and Marketing Director on the Chicago board.
At the very first event that I attended — one that recognized volunteers, I met some of the warmest professionals ever. A group of communications professionals from a whole variety of industries with one thing in common — the willingness to help, connect and collaborate.
Since then I have attended multiple professional development luncheons focused on topics from change management to investor relations and am now mentoring an aspiring communications professional, currently a student at Loyola University.
