Congrats to Our 2019 Bronze Quill Award Winners & Karen Utterback Honoree

Thanks for joining us for the annual awards presentation of the Bronze Quill Awards.

The IABC Chicago Bronze Quill winners received awards at a presentation on October 17. Winners of the Award of Excellence included:

Connie Mayse, Senior Manager, HR Communications and Planning, Health Care Service Corporation

Gabrielle Loring, Senior Commutation Consultant, ROC Group

The Corporate Communications team at CDK Global

The event also recognized an exceptional volunteer and mentor who carried out the work of IABC Chicago with dedication. Named in memory of former member and president, Karen Utterback, this volunteer award was presented to Kari E. McLean, principal, MsMcLean1 Communications, who served IABC Chicago in a variety of volunteer positions since beginning her membership in 2008, including serving on its board of directors in 2017-18.

Our special guest Jessica Snow-Wasserman of Bain & Company shared more about the company’s proprietary research on employee engagement in times of change and transformation.
