Dear IABC members,
As your 2020/2021 board president, I want to take a moment to introduce myself. I’m a Milwaukee-native, but I’ve lived in Chicago for over 13 years so it’s home. Football season presents some issues as I still support the Packers 100%. I like cycling, running and just took up golf (fore!). I’m an internal comms junkie who spends her workdays advising clients on a variety
of comms projects.
I’ve only been a part of IABC a short couple of years, but the warmth I’ve received from our members has made it feel like decades. What makes IABC so special is you. With a blend of PR pros, internal communicators, students, small business owners, and professors, to name a few, our networking and educational events are filled with diverse conversations, questions, and
ideas. That diversity is the backbone of our chapter.
Our 2020/2021 board is working hard to support you across these different industries and professions by mapping out events and content that support you.

We know COVID-19, social unrest, layoffs, and budget cuts have dramatically changed how we work. IABC Chicago will work hard to support you during this challenging period with forward-looking, timely content. Look for new event programming including virtual networking, career coaching, and professional development.
Though we don’t plan to hold any live events in 2020, I look forward to seeing you at one of our virtual events. (Don’t forget to turn your camera on!)
