Thank you for volunteering your time and talents throughout the month of November for Gift of Communications, as IABC/Chicago partnered with United Way of Metro Chicago’s United Neighborhoods Equity Fund.
Our professional communicators paired up to provide over 30 volunteer hours in three weeks to over a dozen agencies helping to review their websites, brainstorm on growing their communication function, and reviewing coms plans and providing feedback.
The Gift of Communication is a pillar of IABC that encourages members and chapters to give back to their communities utilizing their professional skills and expertise. The goal is to work with local social service organizations or other nonprofit agencies, such as United Way, and help them address their communication challenges by providing expert communication counsel and training.
