What a year it’s been. As with our profession, IABC is constantly evolving and we continually grow to meet the ever-changing needs of new technology such as AI as well as new workplaces scenarios and global policies.
One driving factor that has not wavered is IABC/Chicago’s focus to bring together communication professionals — whether internal or external, journalists or public relations experts, we are all looking for ways to optimize our messaging so it is understood by our audience.
As my term comes to a close, I want to thank the incredible Board this past year for bringing a renewed focus to in-person networking along with webinars that support our daily work. Your efforts and collaborative spirit have been instrumental in our success.
For the 2025-2026 board year, I’m thrilled to pass the torch to Arek Gazda, SCMP. Arek brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective, and I have no doubt that under his leadership, IABC/Chicago will flourish. His commitment to growing comm professionals careers and passion for highlighting the value of our industry will be the cornerstone over the coming year.
